MOVE-OUT CLEANING

  • What is move-out cleaning in Rotterdam?
Move-out cleaning — also known as end of tenancy cleaning or opleveringsschoonmaak — is a thorough cleaning of a rental property before handing it back to the landlord. It focuses on the areas inspectors always check: kitchens, bathrooms, appliances, cabinets and floors.

  • Is end of tenancy cleaning required in the Netherlands?
In most cases, yes. Dutch tenancy agreements typically require you to return the property in a clean condition. If you don't arrange cleaning yourself, your landlord can hire a service and deduct the cost from your deposit.

  • Can my landlord deduct cleaning costs from my deposit?
Yes. In the Netherlands, landlords can legally deduct professional cleaning costs from your deposit if the property doesn't meet the agreed standards at handover. The most common reason for deductions isn't damage — it's buildup in kitchens and bathrooms.

  • What is not included in move-out cleaning?
Wall washing, exterior windows, carpet steam cleaning, construction dust removal are not part of standard move-out cleaning. If you're unsure about a specific area, we discuss it before starting.

  • Do I need to be present during move-out cleaning?
As long as we have access to the property, we handle everything. We stay in contact throughout and send photos when done.

  • What if my landlord asks for corrections after the cleaning?
If the concern relates to an area we cleaned, we come back and correct it at no extra cost.

MOVE-IN CLEANING

Intrekkersschoonmaak

  • What is move-in cleaning?
Move-in cleaning — also known as intrekkersschoonmaak — is a full reset of a property before you move in. It removes what the previous tenant left behind: limescale, grease, residue inside appliances and cabinets, so the space feels genuinely fresh from day one.

  • The landlord said the property was cleaned. Do I still need move-in cleaning?
That depends on the actual condition. Properties described as "cleaned" often still have limescale in bathrooms, grease inside appliances and residue in cabinets. We assess what's there and clean accordingly.

  • Can I move in the same day as the cleaning?
Yes, if timing allows. Let us know your move-in date when you contact us and we'll plan accordingly.

Deep Cleaning — Diepte Reiniging

  • What is deep cleaning?
Deep cleaning restores a space to its original condition — not just on the surface, but properly. Parts are disassembled, cleaned individually and put back in place. Buildup that accumulated over years is removed from areas that regular cleaning never reaches. The result is a space that feels genuinely clean again, not just maintained. A kitchen that takes 2 hours to clean regularly can take significantly longer in a deep clean — because the process is completely different.

  • What's the difference between deep cleaning and regular cleaning?
Regular cleaning maintains a clean space. Deep cleaning restores it. Most people think deep cleaning means more product or more scrubbing — it doesn't. It requires disassembly, different products for each surface, specific equipment, and a process that takes the time the job actually needs. If your extractor is clogged with grease, your bathroom fixtures are covered in limescale, or your cabinets haven't been emptied in years — regular cleaning doesn't fix that.

  • How do you quote a deep cleaning?

We quote per job based on photos. Send us photos of each space via WhatsApp — we assess the condition and come back with a clear price.

  • Is professional deep cleaning worth it?
Yes — if what you actually need is deep cleaning. One proper deep clean removes what has been building up for years. No amount of regular cleaning achieves the same result.

  • How often should I do a deep cleaning?
Most homes benefit from a deep cleaning once or twice a year. Kitchens and bathrooms accumulate buildup faster — especially in hard water areas like Rotterdam. If regular cleaning starts feeling less effective, that's usually the sign.

POST-CONSTRUCTION CLEANING

Bouwschoonmaak

  • What is post-construction / post-renovation cleaning?
Post-construction cleaning — also known as bouwschoonmaak or renovatieschoonmaak — removes fine dust, paint residue, cement splashes after a renovation or building project.

  • When should I schedule post-construction cleaning?
After construction work is fully complete and trades have finished. Scheduling too early means dust settles again after remaining work. Contact us when the renovation is done and we'll assess the right timing.

  • Can you remove paint from windows and tiles?
Paint on glass and tiles can often be removed with the right technique. We evaluate each surface before acting — if something can't be removed safely, we tell you before we try.

  • Why is construction dust so difficult to remove?
Fine construction dust from cutting wood, tiles, drywall and plaster settles on every surface — walls, floors, inside cabinets, fixtures and ventilation. It's microscopic, which means standard vacuuming and mopping don't capture it — they move it around. Removing it properly requires a professional HEPA filtration vacuum and a specific two-stage process. Without both, the dust keeps coming back.

  • Does construction dust come back after cleaning?
It can, if walls and ceilings aren't included. Fine dust on those surfaces keeps falling after the job. We discuss this during the walkthrough and define the scope accordingly.

  • Do you remove paint and cement residue?
We evaluate each surface before acting. Paint on glass and tiles can often be removed with the right technique. Cement and plaster residue depends on the material underneath. If something can't be removed safely, we tell you before we try.

  • How do you quote post-construction cleaning?
We need to understand what was renovated, what wasn't, and the condition of each area.
Contact us via WhatsApp with details of the renovation — we assess and come back with a clear price.

  • What's the difference between post-construction cleaning and regular cleaning?
Post-construction cleaning removes fine dust, cement splashes, paint residue that regular cleaning products and methods can't handle. It requires specific techniques and equipment for each surface and material.

OFFICE CLEANING

  • Can you do a one-time office clean?
Yes. Contact us with your office size and we'll assess what your space needs.

  • What does office cleaning include?
The scope is defined together based on your office layout, team size and how the space is used. Some areas need attention every visit, others less frequently. We structure the cleaning plan around what your office actually requires — not a fixed checklist that applies to everyone.

  • How do you handle office access and keys?
Access arrangements are agreed upon before the contract starts.
We work with whatever system your office uses — keys, access cards or entry codes — and handle everything with full accountability.

  • Do you bring your own products and equipment?
Yes. We bring everything — professional-grade, non-abrasive and eco-friendly products and all necessary equipment. You don't need to provide anything.

  • How do you quote office cleaning?
We visit your office, assess the space and define the scope together. From there we send a formal proposal with frequency, pricing and terms. Contact us via WhatsApp or the proposal form to schedule a visit.
